Gracious Uncertainty

Certainty is something we like to have and depend on. We are simply never promised or even given certainty every day. Oswald Chambers says, "To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways." This is the mark of living dependent upon common sense or upon God.

When we only move based on common sense certainty, we are not prepared to live spiritually by faith. We simply do not get to know what even a day will really contain and bring our way. This does not need to be said with sadness, though it often is. That should come with a sense of excitement and expectation because while we cannot be certain of what each day will bring, we can be certain of God.

IF we are certain that God is good and God is always right, we can be prepared to see what comes of each day ahead of us. God is always and everywhere present. This means every one of your days is saturated with God, and He is prepared to surprise you. In our most uncertain times of life, we can live those times day by day in joyful expectation. We can have our eyes and hearts open to see what God is going to do next.

God gives you divine moments every single day, and I try not to come to the end of a day having completely missed those moments.
