Follow the Leader

The funny thing about “Follow the Leader” is when you look back from the front you lose.

Walk like this Move like this Speak like this

Oh… you weren’t watching? You lose.

You have missed the complete act intended for you You have missed the next step forward. Because you looked back you lose.

You have one task. You have one call. You have one goal;

to follow the leader.

Do not divert. Do not lose focus. Do not turn.

Peter turned to see The Disciple Jesus Loved. Peter turned and asked, “What about him?” Peter turned and began the comparison.

The funny thing about “Follow the Leader” is when you compare to other contestants you lose.

Comparison I am greater than I am I am less than I am

I have inflated beyond myself I have deflated beyond myself

Walk like this. Move like this. Speak like this.

Oh you weren’t watching? You lose.

You have missed the complete act Intended for YOU. You have missed the next step forward. Because you looked back, you lose.

Following the leader encourages the real you. Looking back in comparison discourages the real you.

Follow the Leader is not a ladder where you need a leg up to always leave another below.

Follow the Leader is a path where you are lead by one goal

to follow the leader.

Some are called to go here others are called way over there

Some are called to do simple things others are called to something large.

but all are called to follow the leader.

The physical is particular while the spiritual is the same. The event is exact while the duty is identical.

The gifts are different while the call is the same. The outcomes are different but the goal is the same.

Follow the leader.

Your heart’s direction is dictated by one of two things; what God has called you to, or what others are called to.

Your heart’s faith is found where God brings you or where others have been brought.

Only one is forward. Only one is The Leader.

A cost awaits all who follow Comfort awaits all who look back.
